The Visual Art’s program has an emphasis on enabling students to build their confidence to communicate through their creations. Students will develop an appreciation for the visual arts through exposure to a range of artists styles and techniques.
The Visual Arts program at Kororoit Creek Primary School will encourage students to inquire into a wide range of art mediums and the vital skills needed in order to make informed decisions and to be successful in their art making.
The units offered in the art program include;
- Drawing
- Mixed Media
- Painting
- Sculpture
This program will incorporate the Victorian Curriculum and PYP framework to develop the arts curriculum and to further support students in becoming independent learners. Students will be exposed to various inspiration including a range of artists and literature, as well as making authentic connections to classroom Units of Inquiry.
